How to view your current plan

  1. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  2. Click Billing.
  3. Your current plan is displayed at the top, along with your usage for the current billing period.

Upgrading your plan

You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time.

To upgrade:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan or Upgrade Plan.
  3. Select the plan you want (Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing (see below for savings).
  5. Enter or confirm your payment method.
  6. Click Confirm.

Your upgrade takes effect immediately. If you’re mid-cycle, your new plan’s prorated cost is calculated and charged right away. Your next invoice will reflect the full price of your new plan.

Downgrading your plan

You can downgrade to a lower plan, but the change takes effect on your next billing date (not immediately).

To downgrade:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Select the lower plan.
  4. Click Confirm Downgrade.

A message will confirm that the downgrade is scheduled for your next billing date. You can cancel the downgrade up until that date if you change your mind.

Monthly vs. annual billing

You can choose how often you’re billed:

  • Monthly: Standard monthly charge, no discount.
  • Annual: Pay upfront for 12 months and save approximately 2 months of fees.

To change your billing cycle:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Find the “Billing Frequency” section.
  3. Toggle between Monthly and Annual.
  4. If you’re switching to annual, you’ll be charged the annual price immediately. If switching to monthly, the change takes effect at your next renewal.

Viewing your usage

Your dashboard shows real-time usage information:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Under “Current Usage”, you’ll see:
    • Documents uploaded this month
    • Documents remaining in your plan’s monthly allowance
    • Percentage of your quota used

The usage counter resets on the same day each month (your renewal date).

Payment methods

CargoLint uses Stripe to process payments. When you sign up for a paid plan, you’ll enter your payment details through a secure Stripe checkout.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Bank transfers (for Business and Enterprise plans)

We never store your full card details. Stripe handles all payment processing securely.

To update your payment method:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Update Payment Method.
  3. Enter or select your new card details.
  4. Click Save.

The change takes effect on your next billing date.

Viewing invoices

We send a detailed invoice each month after your billing date.

To view your invoices:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Scroll down to “Invoices”.
  3. Click an invoice to download it as a PDF.

Invoices show:

  • Documents processed that month
  • Your plan charge
  • Any overage charges
  • The amount due

Overage charges

If you exceed your plan’s monthly document allowance, you’ll be charged for each extra document.

Overage pricing varies by plan:

PlanPer-Document Overage Rate
Pro$0.75 per document
Business$0.50 per document
Enterprise$0.25 per document

Example: If you’re on the Pro plan (500 documents/month) and upload 520 documents, you’ll be charged $0.75 × 20 = $15 in overage fees on your next invoice.

The Free plan does not allow overages—you’re limited to 20 documents per month.

Do you offer discounts?

Annual billing saves approximately 2 months of fees compared to paying monthly. Contact sales for volume discounts.
