Branding Your Documents

Add your company logo and footer notes so the PDFs CargoLint generates carry your branding.

CargoLint can stamp your company logo and footer notes onto the PDFs it generates - the corrected document exports and generated packing lists - so the paperwork you hand to a broker, client, or authority looks like yours. You set branding once at the organization level, and it’s applied to every export automatically.

Before you start

  • You’re an organization Admin or Owner - branding is an organization-wide setting
  • You have a logo file ready: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or SVG, up to 8 MB

Steps

1. Open branding settings

Go to Settings and find the Organization card. The Logo, Document Footnotes, and Branding controls all live there.

In the Logo section, drag in or choose an image. Raster files (PNG, JPEG, WEBP) are resized to fit a 1200x600 area; SVGs stay crisp as vectors. You can replace or remove the logo at any time.

In Document Footnotes, set a footer for each type - Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin - up to 500 characters each. Use the token buttons to insert values that fill themselves in per document, such as {document_number}, {org_name}, and {generated_at}. The live preview shows how the footer resolves with those tokens filled in.

4. Turn branding on for exports

The Branding section has two toggles that decide what appears on generated PDFs:

  • Include logo in exports - stamps your logo in the header.
  • Include footnote in exports - prints the footer for that document’s type.

Use one, the other, or both. Turn a toggle off and that element is simply left out.

5. See it on an export

Branding is applied wherever CargoLint generates a PDF - the corrected PDF you export from a reviewed document, and generated packing lists. Export one (see Exporting Data) and your logo and footer appear, next to the audit version stamp.

Note: Branding affects only the PDFs CargoLint generates. The original file you uploaded is never modified, and the read-only share link shows the original document, not a branded export.

Tip: Lean on tokens. Because {document_number} and {generated_at} fill themselves in, one footer template stays correct across every document of that type - no editing per document.

Tip: A wide or square-ish logo reads best in the header. Very tall logos are scaled down to fit, so they may look smaller than you expect.
