How to Read the Dashboard
Understand your key metrics and track document processing trends.
The CargoLint dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your customs document processing. It shows how many documents you’ve processed, how many need attention, and trends in your extraction quality—everything you need for daily operations.
Before you start
- You have documents uploaded and processing in CargoLint
- You understand your current billing plan and document limits
- You want to monitor team productivity
Steps
1. Open the Dashboard
From the main navigation, select Dashboard. The dashboard loads with your current metrics and charts.
2. Check total processed documents
The “Total Processed” metric shows the cumulative count of all documents you’ve ever uploaded. This is a historical number that grows over time.
3. Review completed documents
The “Completed” metric shows documents that finished extraction with all fields above 70% confidence. These documents are ready to use without review. A high completed percentage means your documents are clear and easy to extract from.
4. Monitor documents requiring review
The “Requiring Review” metric shows documents with at least one field below 70% confidence. These documents are in your review queue and need your attention. A high number here means either your scan quality needs improvement or you have more work to do in the review queue.
5. Track average confidence
The “Average Confidence” metric shows the mean confidence score across all your extracted fields. This tells you overall extraction quality. If this number drops below 75%, your document scans may need improvement (see Scanning Tips).
6. Understand the monthly usage chart
A chart at the bottom shows your document processing trend over the past 30 days. This helps you identify patterns:
- A rising trend indicates increasing workload
- A flat line shows steady volume
- Sudden drops may indicate scanner issues or slower input periods
7. Check your plan usage
Near the top of the dashboard, you’ll see your current month’s document usage against your plan limit. For example, if you’re on the Pro plan, you see “253 / 500 documents used this month.” Once you reach your limit, you can’t upload more documents until the next billing cycle or you upgrade.
8. Identify team performance
If your account includes multiple team members, the dashboard shows a breakdown of who processed documents this month. This helps manage workload distribution and identify bottlenecks.
Tip: Check your dashboard each morning to see overnight processing results and prioritize your review queue.
Tip: If your “Requiring Review” number climbs significantly, pause uploads and focus on clearing the review queue. This prevents a backlog that slows your operations.
Tip: Watch your average confidence trend. If it drops consistently, it signals declining scan quality—invest in better scanning equipment or lighting to improve future extractions.
